Cookie Policy

1. Introduction

This policy explains how MDG Health Consult Ltd uses cookies and similar technologies on its websites:

The websites use WordPress, with hosting provided through Namecheap. The actual cookies and technologies in use will depend on the configuration of each website and its integrations.

2. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on a device when a website is visited. Similar technologies may store information on, or access information from, a device.

They may support essential website functionality, remember preferences, maintain secure sessions, facilitate transactions or measure website use.

3. How We Use Cookies and Similar Technologies

Depending on the website’s configuration, technologies may be used for:

  • Essential website functionality and security.
  • Remembering preferences and consent choices.
  • WordPress website operation.
  • Course registration, learning access and related integrations.
  • Online payment or checkout functionality.
  • Analytics and website performance measurement, if implemented.
  • Embedded content and other third-party features, where used.

The technologies may differ between the two websites and may change when features are added.

4. Strictly Necessary Technologies

Some cookies or similar technologies may be essential to provide a service requested by a visitor, maintain a secure session or enable a necessary website function.

Where a technology qualifies for an applicable legal exemption, it may be used without consent, but appropriate information will be provided.

A technology will not be treated as strictly necessary merely because it is convenient or useful to the business.

5. Analytics and Optional Technologies

We may implement Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use our websites and help us improve them.

GA4 should not be described as active until it has been installed and verified. Non-essential analytics and other optional technologies will not be activated before valid consent where required by law.

Visitors should be able to reject optional technologies without being prevented from accessing essential website functions.

6. Payments and Third-Party Services

Our payment arrangements include:

  • Stripe: used to process online payments.
  • Bank transfer: available as a payment method. Bank transfers do not themselves require a website payment cookie, although associated website or banking services may use their own technologies.
  • PayPal: intended to be offered as an additional payment option once the integration is active.

When PayPal is introduced, we will review its actual integration and associated cookies or similar technologies and update the consent configuration where necessary.

Our websites may also use WordPress, Namecheap hosting, external e-learning services and other providers. Any course platform or additional integration will be assessed when it is implemented.

Mentioning a provider in this policy does not mean every associated cookie is active on both websites. The live cookie information must reflect the actual configuration.

7. External E-Learning and ELFH

For relevant Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training, learners must complete the official prerequisite through the NHS England e-Learning for Healthcare hub.

OMA may link learners to the external ELFH service. Cookies set by that external service are governed by the provider’s own arrangements rather than being controlled entirely by OMA.

Any external e-learning integration used on our websites will be reviewed to determine which technologies it introduces and whether consent is required.

8. Managing Cookie Choices

Where consent is required, visitors will be given clear information and a means of accepting or rejecting optional cookies and managing preferences.

Visitors should be able to change or withdraw consent later through the website’s cookie settings tool.

Closing a banner or continuing to browse will not be treated as consent where valid consent is required. Browser settings may also be used to block or delete cookies, although blocking essential cookies may affect some functions.

9. Consent Configuration and Testing

Before non-essential tracking is activated, we will take reasonable steps to ensure that:

  • The consent tool accurately reflects the technologies in use.
  • Accept and reject options are equally accessible.
  • Optional tracking is blocked before valid consent where required.
  • Withdrawal of consent is respected.
  • New plugins and integrations are reviewed before activation.
  • The two websites’ cookie information reflects their respective configurations.

10. Accessibility

We aim to make cookie information and consent controls accessible to visitors, including those using keyboard navigation or assistive technologies.

Please contact us if you have difficulty accessing or changing cookie preferences.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when our websites, integrations or legal requirements change. The current version will be published on the relevant website.
