Who Is This Course For?

The TIER  2 Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training is ideal for individuals or smaller teams looking to complete their Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism. 

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE FACE-TO-FACE ONE-DAY SESSION.

This training has been introduced to address those challenges by giving staff the skills and awareness needed to make a real difference. It covers key topics such as avoiding diagnostic overshadowing, understanding reasonable adjustments, communicating in accessible ways, and applying relevant legislation like the Mental Capacity Act and Autism Act.  This interactive session is co-delivered by a qualified trainer and two Experts with Lived Experience, the course brings real-life perspectives to the forefront. 

There is a Morning Session: Learning Disability Awareness and Afternoon Session: Understanding Autism.

There will be Breaks: Mid Morning Break (15 Minutes) | Lunch Break (1 Hour) | Mid Afternoon Break (15 Minutes).

Before you start the Tier 2 Training course

Delegates MUST complete the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism Part 1 Elearning before attending this Tier 2 session.
